My wife and I are expecting a new addition to our family soon ...
2011Nara Bronze LR4 HSE LUX with HD, Vision, and RSE packages
Comes on Thursday!
Just wanted to say hello and thank the active members here. I did a bunch of preliminary research before we pulled the trigger, and this site was a wealth of useful information. It will be replacing a Nissan Quest minivan. The other major vehicle in contention was the Infiniti QX56, but we were pretty sure we didn't want another Nissan product, at least not right away. And I thought it was ugly ... But she liked it. Go figure.
Hoping to get a nice camper trailer ... Those Airstreams sure are sweet. And want to take it off road... gotta flex the offroad muscles once in a while at least. Though I don't think I will ever do this ********. Need a hitch mounted bike rack (love to mountain bike). And will probably need some removable roof mounted storage solution. Since this will be 90% a road car, I don't want my wife to have to put up with any unnecessary wind noise.
Just ordered my first gadget for the car, a cigarette lighter receptacle flashlight by JTSpecialty ...

Plan on getting 3M Color Stable tint on all the windows and sunroofs and clear 3M Crystalline film for the front windshield. This should help for this Texas summer heat. I have a remote ****** radar detector I'm toying with installing myself.
Found a local service center that is NOT the local LR dealer. I wasn't thrilled with the service there in regards to sales. We liked our salesman, but that's where the liking ended. We ended up getting it from out of state. First time I've done that. Hopefully it will work out fine. Anyway, the local service center, as far as I can tell, also has an online presence:

So hopefully we can go there instead of the local LR dealer. Nice to have an alternative.
Anyways ... Glad to be part of the LR club!
