1999 D2. odd light since i dont think i have a manual center diff lock option. we just had a big snow/ice storm i was doing some spirited driving setting off lots of TC lights. then the center diff locked light would flash on/off. then it stayed lit for awhile. then it went away. should i be concerned? no funny noises or noticeable performance issues are evident......

Sounds like it is either the switch or the CDL may very well be moving around... normally it requires you to climb under the vehicle and move the engagement nut to turn on the CDL.
And yes a 99D2 has CDL, it just needs the proper shifter or a cable to activate it.
