From petrol to diesel...

With gas prices not getting any cheaper (monetary plus lives lost), and biodiesel becoming more and more available, (theres a place here in L.A. that fetches $.79 a gal) what are your thoughts and opinions on converting a 4.0 V8 over to a turbo diesel?

Not easy. Check out ECR's website for more -- but note that even they only do TDi or PowerStroke conversions for Defenders. They did do a Discovery conversion (see here) but apparently it's not profitable to do on a larger scale.

There's a lot of electronics that get gutted but it's not as simple as "pull out and drop in" (although many MANY people wish it were so).
