Fuel system issues?

Not strange, it was just getting old, when it heats up it fails.

Swapped fuel pump today steady fuel pressure at 35 started and run good just drove 30 or so milews. seems to run smoother also. Strange that original pump would power up and pressure to 35 but would not retain it with engine running

Cool, inquisitive,

Think about it, when you simply turn on the key and check fuel rail press, no injectors are opening and when you start it, the pump can't keep up.

The brushes were probably worn out on the armature, or the armature was carboned up.
tear the old one apart.

Sounds like a bad fuel pump to me

hey Joey;

You beat me to it - as the FP was what I was thinking too especially with that drop to 10 psi.
