Ran into a dude yesterday that has this on his LR3. He said that this rear hatch can be opened without any problem...can anyone else confirm this?

Why would it say that bit in the catalog if this were true?

I have a ladder on mine. Don't know if it's a G4 ladder. But I use it a lot and have not had any problems.

Is there any other available besides the G4 edition?

Ducky, where did you get that ladder from? Did you install it? If so, how was the install? How does it attach?....I don't want to drill holes into the body.

So...you can open your hatch without any mechanical interference?

Thanks.

To my knowledge there is only one kind of ladder and it is a genuine LR part.
I got mine from Rover Connection. I installed it myself and it was pretty easy.
Instructions were provided. The top part of the ladder hooks to the top lip of the
hatch, and the bottom mounts inside of the black box that houses the opening
mechanism. There is a small amount of drilling. I recall having to drill 2 holes,
but you are drilling them behind the hatch mechanism to reinforce the ladder
for load support. There is no interference opening the hatch unless you have a
roof rack protruding into the area.

That is a good looking rig. I like the new BFG's too.

Duckdive - is that just the normal off road height in that picture or did you do the lift on yours?

I did the rod mod. Hard to remember but I believe this is my regular offroad height which is stock extended height.
