Anyone got a suggestion for a good independent shop in Portland? Time to do the front brakes and I don't want to play the waiting game to get an appointment with the dealer.

TIA

Can't help you on the mechanic, but if you can find a mechanic that will let you supply your own parts, you'll save an arm and a leg over the dealer as well. Otherwise, you may just save the arm.

For parts, either Atlantic British or Land Rover Merriam Parts are the best way to go.

I can't directly vouch for them, but I have a buddy that uses Uncle Al's for his RRS.. They're out in Oregon City..
