hi again...

i have a set of used jump seats that i picked up in awsome condition and wanted to install them into my 97 disco, which is non rear air conditioned. i am looking at the hardware from rover connection at $85/side. has anyone done this, and is it easy? is there a lot of cutting involved, and are the mounting spots on the truck easily found?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pietro, I have added the two additional seats to my Disco I, and it was not so bad, the first thing is to make sure you have the correct mounting kits for the frames, and not the one for the rear air conditioner. There is actually verry littlt cussing that must be done, just a couple of mounting points.

The seats will replace the two plastic hatch covers which pop in to create the side storage boxes (at least on the Disco I). I will try and find the templates I created and scan them for you.

were all the mounting points there on the truck or did you have to drill/cut anything

I did have to cut the plastic wheel wells (minor), but the secure points were already in place under the plastic. My seats did come with some additional hardware to connect to the frame, hopefully, yours did too. If not, you can purchase these itmes reasonable form Rovers North. I will send along the template as soon as I can scan it in.

Jump Seat install

Greyfox,

I too have a jumpseat to put in my '97 Disco, are the mounting points easy to find? Care to share that template?
