Heated Windshield questions 2000 Discovery

I'm having a problem with half of the heated windshield, the passenger side isn't working.

Does anyone know if the heated windshield is two separate zones(left and right).

If they are separate do they run from the same or separate fuses/relays.

Lastly does anyone know where the power connectors are on the windshield so I can test with a meter.

Can't help with most, but I believe the power connectors are under the Hood in the top corners one connection each side closest to the windshield.

the windshied has what looks like defrost arount the egges of windshied but no buttonto push

The botton for the Heated windscreen would be right next to the rear defrost
botton, gas door release, flashers. I would assume If there is no button that
you do not have it BUT...

Look at your windshield really closely. If it's heated it will have very thin wires
Running up and down (top to bottom) spaced about 1/16 or maybe 1/8 " apart.
Normally not all that noticeable unless you really look.

Most people do not notice mine, but I had one friend last night see them
in the headlights of an oncoming car so you can see them.

Be forewarned they are spendy windshields.
I was quoted 1200+ from the dealer to have a cracked one replaced.

But they sure are handy on a frosty morning
