Hey everyone,

I'm from Colorado, and a first time car owner! Proud to say my first vehicle is my Bonatti Gray 2005 LR3 SE, with Johnson rods, and Hankook Dynapros. It has a few quirks with it that I need to look into and what better place to ask but here?

First off, how easy is it to get the plastic trim (re)painted? The previous owner had them painted over to match the body and it looks great, but the paint is peeling and is starting to look not so great.

Secondly, my lift height down switch does not work, but the raise does. Is it a switch problem or something greater? (going to highway speeds will force it to lower successfully if raised)

Thirdly, the driver side dome light is missing the socket for the bulb.. I've looked around but failed to find out how to fit or choose a replacement.

Fourthly, the brake warning light is on, but it came sporadically on when navigating some bumpy terrain (and then stayed). It looks to be a sensor issue since the brakes were (apparently) recently replaced. How can I be sure?

Fifthly, I've had to leave it for a couple weeks at a time, and when I come back, the front suspension is always deflated. I've read on this forum before that that's normal and it does successfully inflate and stay inflated while driving and being parked for a couple days or so. Just want to know if that's something I really need to press, or if its okay.

If I have any more issues I'll be sure to post in the pertinent place next time!

Anyway, I'm glad to be able to legitimately register here now that I have my car and hope to become a part of this community!

Welcome to the forum... most of these questions are best asked in the LR3 section... but I will take a stab at a couple.

Painting plastic. it can be done, but you have to find a good paint shop that knows plastic. Sadly if nicked it will probably peal again.

Height switch sounds like a bad switch if everything else appears to be working.

Brake light, check brake fluid level, check to make sure parking brake is fully disengaged, and regardless of someone else saying they have replaced anything have your brakes checked.

Front suspension deflating I would check for slow leaks, spray the system down with soapy water and watch for bubbles. Normal air bags do no just deflate if all is working order.
