Can someone please help? Land Rover Dealer in Manila,Philippines is unable to program key for 06 Range Rover Sport.

I hope you can help. I live in Manila, Philippines and own a 2006 Range Rover Sport. I only had one key but remote part was destroyed but key shank was okay. The transponder part was completely destroyed. I had my car towed to the Land Rover Dealer over a month ago. I was advised by Range Rover dealer that keys are on back ordered and may be few months before I an get them. They advised me if I can bring keys, they will gladly program. I ordered LR3 keys from ebay, USA and took them to the dealer. They are unable to program my keys because every-time they go to program the keys, they receive an error. They have tried programming just one and then two. Now they are telling me that there technicians were never trained on programming the keys. They normally ordered them per-programmed from the factory.

I have seen them trying programming the key and each time they receive an error. Is there anyway you can help?
There is only one range rover dealer here.

Thanks
Sam Khan

You need to find someone with a blackbox-solutions faultmate. I would suggest you post on http://www. disco3.co. uk/ or contact blackbox-solutions and ask if they can refer you to someone there who has one with unlimited license.

Yes-- There are a few topics on the subject... You should post on the disco3 site to get some answers... I also found this other link. I posted on the faultmate site and asked for someone in your area.

I have seen that before, you may have the wrong key. Sometimes they do not get programmed at the factory properly, do the turn in the lock?
