The short synopsis-
“”For the sake of newbies here is a quick summary of the event:-
The route is from Plymouth (UK) to Banjul (Gambia) a distance of around 3700 Miles !! If thats not enough for you the journey has to be carried out in a car that cost <£100 (Although this is one rule begging to be broken)
And guess what, the whole route is unsupported, i.e. unlike the Paris Dakar rally where there is a huge supporting organisation ready to help out if required, the Plymouth to Banjul challenge has no helpers, no support vehicles. If you cant fix it you have to enlist help of fellow participants, which all adds to the adventure aspect of it
