As a newly divorced 2001 discovery owner, I am in great need of smart tech advice and general maintanence input. My rear electrical window will not go up nor down. I was thinking I would need to replace a fuse - but that could not be right as the other rear window works fine. Any suggestions???? I have been going to the dealership for all of my issues... however, each visit cost me no less than $3000.00 -- In addition, my temp gauge seems to be approaching hot on incline or after a 15minute ride at acceleration of 50mi or more.--- I just had valves, gasket and all replaced in may2005. I do not run the ac-- any ideas what this could be?--- also some of the postings mentioned autozone--- rather than dealership servicing, how are there techs?

Welcome to the board, most of these being tech questions should be asked in the tech section, but to help.

Rear Window could be http://204.157.1.3/window/index.htm

If you can do some of the work yourself, you will save alot of money.

Temp could be either low on water or a sticking thermostat. I would also stop when it shows hot and check the radiator with a temp gun looking for hot spots. (temp gun can be bought at Napa, Autozone, or just about anyplace that sells car parts.

Since you don't list the mileage I can't say much more.... also what kind of service has been done other than the valves?

Most autozones don't have service, normally when autozone is mentioned it is to have the OBDII error codes read.

Hope this helps.
