hi all can any one help me my 2002 range rover wont start and on the dash board the pre heating sign comes on and nothing. when you turn the ignition the head lights turn on and the off has any one had a problem like this. if so plz help

More info... is this a US spec Rover or a Euro, petrol or Diesel?

its Euro, and Diesel do u know whats wrong i have charged the battery and it still wont start

Not a Euro Spec Rover guru by anymeans, but Diesels are fairly simple... fuel, compression, and air...

but is the engine even attempting to start (crank)/turn over i.e. is the starter engaging?

If the starter isn't doing anything, then I would start with checking the starter.... and the alarm...
