Just joined so I can get more advice and help, don't think you can ever have too much.

I was so naive in the beginning and probably wasted a lot of time and money but now I’ve found that having a tool like the Nanocom has been an absolute godsend.

I can't recommend enough having a good diagnostic tool on hand for fault finding and troubleshooting. It’s made a world of difference in helping me pinpoint issues before they turned into expensive repair bills.

Getting detailed insights into what’s really going on has saved me from being charged for unnecessary work and has given me the confidence to take on some repairs myself, or at least have an informed conversation with the mechanic about what’s really needed.

Next job: Disabling or replacing the sensors on the annoying seat belt alarm that never shuts up

I have had the NanoCom for many years now and yes, it is a real help. Probably I most use it just for getting rid of all the "faults" that seem to pile up over time but are for the most part false.

Also re the seat belt chime that I think you are referring to, if I recall correctly, I just plugged and unplugged the driver side seat belt seven times with the engine running and that got rid of the chime. The dash red light still displays, but at least no noise.

I think I am correct in recalling the seven number as for the most part, our 3's are Ford's at heart and that is the procedure for most Ford products.

If the seven does not work, a Google search should have an answer. The bottom line was I did not have to disconnect anything and that is important as one would probably have more error codes.
