My wife has a 2011 Land Rover LR2. She will drive the car all day and then park it. The battery then dies within 24 to 36 hours or thereabouts. If she drives the car every day, the battery stays charged enough for everything to work. Amperage draw from the manually charge battery (measuring from the negative battery post to the negative cable) is 3.5 amps (!!!) with the car completely off. I pulled all the fuses and relays in all three fuse boxes, one by one looking for parasitic shorts. Unfortunately, there was no reduction in the amperage. I then unplugged the Bluetooth module (because the Bluetooth had stopped working), the Sirius satellite module (bc that is reportedly the cause of a lot of shorts in Land Rovers) and the front passenger door lock module (this part was suspect because the locking actuator works, but the actuator doesn’t fully move the lock indicator adjacent to the interior door handle). I still have the 3.5 amp draw on the battery after the power to each module was unplugged. I purchased a fiber optic “loop” and installed it on the fiber optic cable going into/out of the Sirius satellite module… to no avail. Any suggestions on what to do/where to go look nextwill be greatly appreciated.
