How long to install rock sliders?

They're only about 100 pounds each. I hope most of us could still bench only 100.

It's not the benching so much as he holding in place that would get me! I think that it took me at least three hours to get the first one bolted on!

Thanks for sharing pictures. What option did you choose? Looks like option II? Did you have to drill holes or something? Or is it simply bolt in?

I've got option II also, seemed like it provided a lot of protection and also the side step for when I'm getting in an out of the truck when it's in off-road height.

No experience, but my only comment would be that you're leaving yourself pretty exposed still if you don't have the standoffs. Option 1 only wraps the bottom, but doesn't even come out to the width of the doors, so you could still ding the bottom of your doors pretty badly. But if you don't like the look of the standoffs, and want something more invisible, Option 1 would be good. You'd hardly notice they were even there, especially on the black LR3 like mine.

I have had my Option II's for a couple of years now (the very first original beta set in fact), and now I am mounting Option 1's just to see what it's like.

Mounting these are pretty easy, I do it myself using one carefully balanced rolling floor jack.

So THAT's why it took so long! I have a crappy floor jack and was parked on rough, uneven asphalt! I'll know better next time.

nwood, I just purchased Rasta 4x4 front skid plate and rock sliders are next in my shopping list. Could you please let us know how option 1 works out for you? Maybe some pictures later? Thanks. - Brian
