Nothing but chunks of oil pan gasket!

But the hard line with the screen that goes into the pan was about 80% clogged with chunks of the gasket.

Can I simply unbolt those two bolts to take it off and give it a proper cleaning?

Thanks

oh yea,

since the screen was so clogged I'm thinking this may be a source of my ticking sound.

Justin,
Yes, you should be able to remove the pick up tube and clean the screen. If the debris collected in it is old, yes it could have been part of the lifter noise you were hearing.
Let me know how it goes.
Sorry I missed your phone call yesterday.

No problem mike,

I figured it out shortly after. The stock sway bar and steering stabalizer need to be removed to get that pan off.

So there is no gasket then on that pickup line? Good. What about torque settings for the pick up line?

Thanks

Justin
