Hello - 2016 RR Sport HSE with 66k miles (wifey's car) and last night while driving, warning appeared (see attached) as engine simultaneously stalled. Pressed "OK" to clear and was able to re-start and drive home. Today the engine will start, warning appears and then car is shutting off while driving. Ordered new ignition start/stop button but stalling while in gear is troubling.

Has anyone had to replace this? Found one video on Youtube but any additional insight would be greatly appreciated.

FYI this is the Ignition start-stop button which starts the car, not the Intelligent start-stop which stops automaticlly when vehicle is stopped.

Thank you so much!

Welcome to the forum! Could this be a battery issue? How old is the battery? Hows the terminals? Are they clean?

This. Start with the battery, then replace switch. Also, make sure alternator is producing enough. These trucks do not handle low voltage well at all.

Shaggy,

Is the alternator not sufficient to keep the engine running, even if the battery develops problems or is disconnected after the vehicle is started?
