This maybe old news to some, but it was new to me. I just picked up my truck from service yesterday and the parts girl told me the Ipod integration module should be available in the new year for the LR3. It will have full integration with the nav screen. Apparently they just got it for Jaguar and will sell installed for about $400 CDN.

Just thought you might like to know.

"Full integration with the Nav screen" is doubtful, since it'll be available for vehicles without the Navigation system. Why would it, when your stereo doesn't even use the Navigation screen? :)

The "Audio Connectivity Module" is documented here:
http://www.landrover.com/us/en/Vehi...3Accessories_Entertainment_and_Technology.htm

As you can see, it says it's controlled with the normal head unit... personally, I don't see much advantage over an iPod sitting next to me and the Belkin+AUX unless it's extremely affordable.

When available in the US, should look like this (LR OEM, but wouldn't fit his nano 2).

My dealer quoted $472 USD installed. Looks like it adds steering wheel controls for track and volume, does not have full iPod control, does not use the touch screen, and costs twice the price if the iPod itself.

I will stay with the $35 Belkin solution for now.

BMW already has 2nd generation iPod interface on the market with full integration and iDrive display. Had hoped that LR would be similar.

It is being installed in my LR3 tomorrow. $450 CDN installed at the dealer. I'll let you know how it is.

My dealer quoted $350 installed ($250 parts, $100 labor).

Let me know how it works. Does it use the nav screen or just the audio head? Thanks. We're having ours installed in 1 month.

No navigation screen support, as expected. (Your head unit doesn't use it, so this won't either.) Just the basics... like most "emulated" iPod integration kits.
