Keen location for FOB

Why is it my ‘13 LR2 has this clever location for a FOB and my ‘15 LR4, doesn’t.
Life’s little annoyances…

It fits decently in the little hole next to the shifter, the one opposite of the parking brake handle.

Also fits good right in front of the parking brake button/lever.

Yes, but it rattles about in both those places… and they are not fit for purpose.

Clearly an oversight. A checklist may have assisted the interior designers.
