We were a dual Honda family and had higher performance autos in the past, but decided to streamline things for a while. I was driving a Honda Ridgeline and my wife was driving a Honda Accord Hybrid. We live in Colorado and haul the kids up to the mountain to ski so it was important to have something that could handle snow, the mountains, and have the flexibility to haul 4+ people and gear.
I was tired of driving a truck and while the Ridgeline is a good vehicle I was ready for a change and wound up buying a Mercedes E350 4 matic. My wife was in the market for a new car as well and we were down to the Audi Q5 or the LR4. We went with the LR 4 because every other car where we live is some sort of Audi and we needed the extra flexibility of an LR4 over a Q5, which is great, but a standard 4 person cross over.
While I love the E350 I have found that I miss being up and the view that we have in the LR4.
So this long winded question is to anyone who has bought or considered buying the Range Rover Sport. On one hand we don't need the off road capability since we have the LR4, but living in moderate snow country where Outbacks and other AWD drive vehicles rule the day I am having buyer's remorse over being in a car.
If you bought or really thought about a Sport, what else did you consider and if you didn't wind up pulling the trigger what did you buy?
