Landrover LR3 Radio reception

I have a completely stock 2006 LR3 and the radio reception has always been bad - infact the dealer repeadily says it is working correctly - does anyone have any solutions or recommendations?

It is considerably worse on AM but even FM fades in and out

Does anyone know of replacement radios for the factory or where I can get another factory radio without breaking the bank??

If it's the reception, it's probably the antenna or antenna connection. Replacing the radio may not do a thing.
