looking at 2004

Hey hows it going. Been lurking here for a little while, also some other disco sites. As stated above I'm mulling the idea of a 2004 disco. I don't need all the options but what problems should I look for? How is the reliability of these verses the pre 03's? I know they get ****** MPG's and can be a bit of a hands on vehicle, just curious if things have gotten better with the 04's. I'm looking at the 04's because I don't like how the new ones look like a refrigerator on it's side to me. Thanks for any responses.

If I were to buy a newer Disco, I would look at anything but the '04. IMHO, and I am sure someone will say other wise, the '04 was the best year for the Disco. They brought back the CDL, it has all the stuff fixed plus has the better lights. 4.6 liter engines, may not be the high speed versions of the LR3's, but still better than the 4.0, also They still look like a disco.

Don't get me wrong (all the LR3 people out there) I like them as well, but it is like anything when a body style changes. You like somethings and others you don't.

I don't think you should have any issues with the '04 for years to come. (if maintained on schedule)

04 is a nice truck.. I am enjoying mine. ( 04 SE ) Had a bit of trouble with the wheel sensors and the TC, HDC, ABS lights but all was covered under warranty. Truck is still tight and drives great. My only real complaint, is that it is a little cramped for someone my size ( 6'3" ) and that the stereo is a P.O.S. other than that its a nice ride for the $
