LR3 Hitch key?

Hey guys,

My LR3 came with the hitch and all from someone else (via a car broker) but it is missing the key for the hitch. I would like to remove it when not in use. Anyone else run into this problem, and what did you do?

In the other forums.. it was for security reasons.. I guess the fear of a non-LR owner ripping one off...

I don't think it is a big deal but supposedly after it was posted on disco3uk some were stolen so they took it off. I have not posted it out of respect ,they do not want it posted.
I doubt folks are surfing forums looking for ways to get itno and stal parts off vehicles.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but can you please PM the details on how to take off the hitch without the key? I bought mine at auction about 3 years ago and the hitch key was missing. Could the hitch be put back on if I needed to tow?
