So, I had the Low Coolant warning issue that has been discussed here. In my case, I would only get it when I started the truck on cold mornings.

I am taking it into the dealer this week so decided to give it a quick check beforehand and I found out what the problem was! Are you sitting down? I was quite shocked. It turns out the reason for the low coolant warning, is because I was low on antifreeze.

yeah, sometimes they work. ;)

Hahaha - classic. I saw the thread title and was ready to come in and say "known problem - they need to replace the reservoir and sensor". Happy to know the thing actually works

I had the same deal. First time it went on, the coolant was ok and I had the sensor replaced. Next time it went on, I filled the coolant reservoir and the notification went off. No problem since. I guess it does work. Nice to get all of the bugs fixed and have the whole truck work though.

I have also had both...once was a sensor, and once was because I had a really small crack in my thermostat housing; both fixed on warranty.

Interesting thing is they looked at this today anyway since it was in... When I told him it was just low on fluid, the SA said I shouldn't have been low. ? But, they checked the system over and could not find a leak anywhere.

On the upside, it was 32 degrees F this morning and I didn't get the warning. So, adding fluid helped.

You never know...you shouldn't be low, but over time I could understand it. In my case, it was real irregular and when they looked they found a leak. They actually showed me in the shop (I'm a REALLY picky customer) and it was incredibly small, but there.
