Hey guys,

I've got a 2008 LR3 and recently bought a set of 19" Range Rover HSE wheels and had them electro-coated black. I'm wanting to buy some black lug nuts, but I'm assuming the LR size is unique. What size should I be looking for?

Also, do you know if LR lug nuts require a special socket size? And are there any issues (alignment, etc.) with mounting these wheels myself as opposed to having my dealer do it?

Thanks!

Can't address the lug nut spec, but did you search that term or check the manual? I thought I saw some more than typical specs there.

Mounting wheels requires no special training, just a torque wrench. Always in a diamond pattern, tighten just so, then finally torque with the wrench (click style) set to 110 lb-ft, IIRC.

You can't affect alignment, etc. by putting on new wheels - but if the offset measurement of the wheels differs significantly, suspension loading changes and this can negatively impact wear, ride and steering. This is determined by the wheel measurements themselves, and offset is usually expressed as an "et" number in mm, like "et28", stamped on the backs of wheels or their spokes. A simple wheel/tire calculator tool tells you the comparative positions of wheels on your car - try the one at 1010tires.com, I happen to like that one (and remember the url easily).
