I pulled my racecar with my LR3 using a WDH with no issues whatsoever. The trailer, car and everything was about 7,000lbs, with about 800lbs tongue weight without using the WDH. IMO the 500lb tongue weitgh max is more important that not using the WDH. I have since upgraded to an aluminum trailer, with a 250lb tongue weight and don't use the WDH any more.
