Is that a picture of the rear caliper?

Looking at the tuffant site, it seems to indicate that brake calipers with "5000/c" and "4999/c" will fit without modification.

different wheel maker, but there's only so much they can do with offset and such...

Wondering if yours maybe had a larger caliper...

I got them to work. I had to grind 1/16 off the peak of the rear caliper.

I am not sure. Mine was so close, it scratched the paint, but not the wheel base metal. But I knew with heating and cooling I had to give it at least 1/16 of clearance.

I did all the research your doing. Tuffant and all. I don't really know why mine barely touched.

Sorry for the delayed response.

265/60R18 KM3 BFG

No problem Gmfain. Thanks for the reply. I ended up ordering the 265/60R18 A/T KO2's.I'm excited to try them out. No one seems to have them in stock so I have to wait 5 more weeks :(

Just curious, if you have any idea if you could get 265/65/18 on a discovery 5 without any modding? Not a huge number of people adding wheels/tires yet, but as it gets older, I'm sure many more will. I know lucky8 has put 33" tires on there, but who knows what they did to get it to work.

Have a D4 with that tire size, but the D5 looks are growing on me, and the tech sure would be nice.

I'm afraid they will rub some, that 1/2" wider and 1 inch tall, on 18"wheels.

Prolly have to use lift rods from LK8

You could easily install larger tires. I have 285/50-20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2s on 20" x 9.5" wheels (including the spare) with no lift, no spacers, and no clearance problems. Comparing your tires to mine at https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wh...-18X7.5ET40&fcl=50mm&wcl=30mm&scl=50mm&sr=0mm shows that you have .62" more sidewall height (and greater air-down capability). Get some rock sliders on that beautiful D5 if you plan on tackling serious trails.
