Thank you Joey, once again, youve been a huge help. Ill look into all your recommendations.

Just to add to Joey's list - check in line (i.e., on your serp belt) that your tensioner is not seized as this will not only help to age the alternator rather rapidly it will also make your engine work harder. Just a thought - also, if it were me, I would ditch the cats but that is pretty much dependent on where you live (i.e., a major no-no in California).
