Missing fuel filter on 99 DSII

I am wondering if a 99 +DSII has a fuel filter. I received the RAVE CD and do not see one listed. It does mention a screen in the pump area of the fuel tank. Is this correct and the screen is the only filter or did I just miss something. I have two error codes for lean banks and want to change the fuel filter and air cleaner to see if this gets rid of the SES light. I already cleaned the MAF and the light is still on. Thanks in advance for any ideas

A D2 does not have a true fuel filter... it has a small screen just before the fuel pump.

Thanks for the info. I will look into cleaning that screen.
