Hi can anyone tell me what could be happening. I know it is not the windshield nor the sunroof since I recently had that replaced. So nothing is leaking from up there. It has been down pouring here lots of rain and now my front carpets are soaked. No windows or doors were left open either. What can it be.

Air Conditioner drain hose disconnected.

I assume the carpet is most wet by the accelerator pedal or on the other side.

If so, per the link below, one or both of the hoses that drains the air conditioner water have pulled apart from the pipes that pass thru the floor boards to outside.

The fix is relatively easy. You pull the panels out on the appropriate side to access the grey corrugated hose and slide it back up to the black plastic mating part. There is one on each side but probably one one has come undone. The jpg below is from my LR3 Miscellaneous gallery section on disco3. There is also a second jpg showing both the drain hoses. http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/index.php?cat=15405

If it's not that an it's been raining so hard, try the drains for the sunroof, I know you just had it replaced but if the drains block the water finds it's way down the inside of the A post and soaks the carpet, sometimes while driving it may drip slightly from either of the pillar airbag cutouts or the center roof light but check it out, it's a common fault on the LR3
