Greetings all..

Ive now been a LR3 owner for a week and loving every minute of it. Two questions:

1/ I noticed on two occasions that when I was slowing down, I would hear a beep. Sounds similiar to the rear proximity sensors but only beeps once..there are no warning lights that go with it so Im not sure what it is.. any suggestions?

2/ Is the fuel hatch suppose to be lock when the rest of the car is locked?

Thanks

quick answers:

1.) Is it possible the temperature gauge display showing the temp below 40? I hear a chime when that happens, although others on the forum have had a wierd beep as well. Do you have the front parking sensors?

2.) No, the fuel hatch doesn't lock on the current models as far as I know. Kind of a bummer really, I like that feature.

Congrats on the new D3/LR3!

CoMclovin; Thanks for the response. I was getting worried that I was getting blacklisted. I noticed all the viewers but no responses.
I bought a 2005 LR3 HSE.. and from reading the manual, I thought the door locks when the passenger doors lock. I guess it was decieving in how it was written "make sure that all doors are unlock, then push on the left side of the fuel door to pop it open.." Upon reading it again, it never says that it will lock when the other doors lock.
And in terms of the temperature guage.. I am assuming you mean the exterior one? Because it has been cold up here.. I noticed that when it beeped, the reading was 4C (39.2 F)...

Yup, no worries. I was indeed referring to the external temperature gauge. It will chime when the temperature reaches roughly 39-40F, and show a snowflake logo near the temperature.

To warn you for possible icy road conditions....They think we are stupid...Kind of like the same reason you can't program the NAV while moving....they think we are stupid. YIKES!

Thanks jimbiram. Great, now not only do I have my LR suggesting that I be careful because of the icy conditions, I got my original "warning system" called THE WIFE telling me the same thing. At least the LR tells me only once.....and doesn't mention anything about taking out the garbage

I have one of those in my LR3 too. We call it the "GPMS" system. A little voice always telling me which way to turn

Our HSE proximity sensors sound off unexepectedly while stopped when the car feels others pass too closely nearby, even if we don't agree. Too much ***** nanny beeping sometimes, eh?
