My Service Writer told me that when it comes to software uploads and/or TSB's, they are performed as-needed, unless it's a recall. So, I am sort of guarded about this letter from LRNA.

Houm,

Well, I think this is just a step or two below a voluntary recall as that VIN range hits a substantial number of vehicles. I like the way it's worded: "Vehicle Enhancement Program". In the UK a couple of people have been called by the dealer in lieu of a letter. Fairly extensive set of fixes, basically wiping the memory and installing the updates as well as some mechanical upgrades as needed. In addition to the aforementioned updates to the North American vehicles, the affected vehicles in the UK get an updated wiring overlay to the parking brake. I left a message with my service writer and gave him the Service Action Bulletin info. The UK started their program on the 16th. IF they do send out letters here, I wonder if they'll stagger them as this could overwhelm the service bays (said to be an all day thing)?

I had early-on suspension issues. My 05 LR3 HSE air conditioning condensation line was not routed correctly and was dumping its water onto the "blackbox" which controls the suspension up/down. Once I noticed the cold water in the front passenger foot area they were able to see why it was getting wet & corroded. Fixed finally.
