navigation system blank screen

I have a CARiN 11 navigation system on my 2001 P38 which seems to have given up the ghost. The screen is white and blank but most annoying of all is that the stereo system and radio will only function properly when the engine is switched off. With the engine on, it only plays quietly in the back and none of the volume controls work. It happened very occasionaly in the past but fixed itself on the next start up but not this time. Any ideas or similar experience?

BECM?? not sure but this very expensive computer under the pass seat controls everything electronic in the truck, in my case coke spilled and or heater core o-rings going out shorted part of my BECM and the blower fans would not work...3000 dollars later all is fine.
