Need Help Fast!....have No Ride!!!!

hows it hangin ya'll???

joined this site cause i lve my rangie but hate it's problems.
many going wrong but 1st things 1st.
I put my key in the ignition.....won't turn....i jiggle the steering wheel, i make sure its in Park.....what is wrong with charline......(my rangie)

I just got your PM…. Not usually on after 10pm.

Haven’t even looked to see the model or year of your Rover, but here is what I would try:

Wiggle the steering wheel while trying to turn the key (if wheel is locked hard the key will not turn)

Try moving the shifter, this may also lock the key (I know it will not move out of park, but sometimes it will stick in an odd spot.)

If the above does not help… Get a little (I repeat a little) of your favorite lube and lightly apply to the key, stick the key in and attempt to wiggle… pull the key out wipe clean and repeat. (your attempting to clean the lock, since the key is made of a harder material then the lock, the lock with wear out, not the key).
