First of all, Hello fellow Roverers.
I just became the owner of a 93' RRC and I am quickly finding myself becoming very intimate with the inner workings of this thing. In other words, she’s got problems. Fortunately nothing to major.
So for I have done the following:
-New alternator
-New fluids. (Oil, tranny, front, center and rear diff, front wheel swivel housing)
-Old owner had it coil sprung but never removed air components so I did (compressor, air tank, air lines)
-A/C did not work so I completely removed to system (compressor, hoses, unit inside front dash etc...)
-Motors on passengers seat were bad so I removed all but the one good one and hooked it to the "forward / backward" function and placed the seat in an overall comfortable position.
-Rear muffler was rusted through so I cut it off at the exit of the first one.
-Completely degreased the underside. (It was awful!)
That’s about it so far. Oh did I mention it's only going to be used for off roading.
Things to do that I may need help with.
-Fuse B2 keeps blowing. What may be the cause?
-Will the removal of the rear muffler affect anything? (Other than sound)
-Stuck in 4 high. I've seen the info on possible causes but what is the easiest and most likely fix to look into first. I noticed fuse B2 works with the "Shift interlock", is that related to this issue?
- Speedo does not work. Again, I’ve seen the fix(s) and I’m looking into them.
-Radio does not work. Again, may be related to B2.
Wish list:
-2" lift
-Bigger tires
-Possible rear lockers (although its quite capable right now)
-New exhaust and air filter (aftermarket)
Thanks in advance.
From looking around this place, ya'll seem like good knowledgeable folks.
This should be fun!!
