Good afternoon,
I've been considering an LR4 as my next vehicle and have been following the relevant threads on this site and have learned a lot.
At this point I am wondering what people might have to say about the merits of getting a car from an auto broker vs. from an authorized dealer. There are 2 LR dealers not too far from me -- in San Jose and in Redwood City, but there are numerous brokers around as well.
Anyone care to share their experiences with either dealership, either in regards to sales or service? Anyone have any recommendations for brokers with LR experience?
Regards,
Bruce

Welcome to the forum. When it comes to brokers it really depends on how long they have been there and if you like them or not. Can they work on the rover or not? All these will come into play with any repair work that might need to be done in the future.

But the big factor is Price and quality of the Rover.

If the price is or sounds really good and they can't work on Rovers, get the vin and call the local rover dealers and ask for a maintenance history. If it sounds good, then great if is sounds iffy, then at least take it to the dealer for a checkup... $200 roughly, but may save you thousands if it needs work.

I have bought several cars and trucks over the years from brokers and never had an issue, but I have bought vehicles from dealers and had issues. Remember they buy at the same Auctions.
