Hi everyone,

I live in Dorset, England, and have just joined the site. I used to own a 1983 Range Rover, 3.5 V8, manual, and after a few years in boring cars I have just returned to the Land Rover fold with a 2001 Freelander Td4 ES manual.

Please see my post about checking the VCU in the Freelander forum. Basically I'd like to know how much resistance is too much when slowly manouevering with a lot of steering lock.

Welcome to the board, wish I could help with the resistance question, but I have on test drove the freelander, never worked on or owned one.
