I think I've found a great SE7 for business and personal use including some boat towing. It's an '04 and seems to be almost like new, only 14k miles. My first question is regarding the 3rd row seats. I think they might take up valuable cargo space and I would probably like to remove them. Is this a difficult R&R? I probably would not remove and replace them regularly, just take them out and store them. If they can be removed will their mounting screws leave ugly holes or any other problems? Maybe I could get some plastic plugs to cover the holes?? Also, are there any issues with transferring the warranty to a new owner? Thanks, Ken

Not a hard removal job, but unless you remove all the brackets, they will still stick out...

If you want to remove the brackets, then things just got fun. First you have to remove all the trim and interior parts in the rear to get to the brackets, then you will have some holes once you have removed the brackets....

Lots of people have removed them and sold them. I have thought about it, but my kids love them, so I just fold them up when I need the (very little) space. If I need more space, I borrow a pickup truck.

Thanks for the info

Just what I wanted to know ... especially that there isn't much room to gain by removing them. Both of the Discovery's that I'm looking at have them so maybe I'll just live with them for awhile and see how it goes. Thanks again, Ken
