Hi all,
Just a few wordsto introduce myself. I'm a 50+ year old mechanical diesel engineer.
I have had land rovers for a few years, this is the first time I have had a free lander.
After buying it I found what was a common fault, prop shaft support bearings.
As a good and perminant solution for this problem I purchased 2 new ones but before fitting them one the rear of the rubber supports I filled with a product called Sicoflex.
This is a rubber solution you get in tubes like silicon.
For the cost of $25 from bunnings, this is a good and easy fix. Please note that you must leave the supports off for at least 24 hours for the Sicoflex to set.
Hope this helps someone else having problems with prop shaft chatter.
