Trying to figure some things out with my 97 Discovery and am having a very hard time. Replaced VSS, MAF,Plugs, wires, fuel pump, filter and still having issues. Codes throwing is P0300, P1316, P1193. I bought this Scantool that hooks to laptop and am able to pull quite a bit of info. See I am pretty tired of putting money in this just swapping out things not fixing my sputters and inefficient running. Car idles and runs great just sputters when accelerating. So would the O2 actually be my problem? and which one is it? Also once the vehicle hits OD it has a shake. Can I test an O2?

Sputters when accelerating, I would look at the IAC, if it is bad this will happen.

Since you already have a scantool, you probably know that:

P0300 - Injector #8 circuit fault (unplugged? broken wire?)

P1193 - O2 sensor heater short downstream (after) cat (burned, smashed wire?)

P1316 - persistent misfire (caused by injector?)
