2015 Lr4, How can it get gear selector to raise so I can push the truck without starting engine?

Yup. Just did it yesterday. Push button without pressing brake pedal. Then press the pedal and shift into neutral.

That was actually the first thing I tried, pushing the "Start" button WITHOUT pressing the brake pedal. All electrics come on, but Gear Selector does not rise up to allow selecting "N".

Ah. My bad. I have a 2013 with a shift lever.

I'd imagine the manual must provide guidance on how to get your vehicle into neutral. You ought to be able to do it.

I'll take another look, just for curiosity. I just needed to move it yesterday without starting. OBE now.

I'm a huge stickler of not firing up a cold engine to move a car a few feet, so I tend to push them in/out the garage or within the garage. The LR4 is much harder to move than my Miata though! lol

2014's on have a red handled lever under the cup holder to put the transmission into neutral. Below that there is another plastic over, secured by two Phillips head screws that reveals another cable loop that releases the parking brake.

Knob will not come up by pressing Start / Stop button, no brake.

Found a video here.
