Anyone know if possible or how to maintain OEM functionality while switching from factory installed Sirius to XM satellite radio? I am hoping that someone know a way to simply switch out the Sirius tuner for XM and still keep full use of the head-unit LCD Data/Read-out and all other functionality. I get a lot of audio drop-outs with Sirius plus the quality of content on what I use does NOT seem to be in par with what I get from the XM tuners I have employed at work.

No. The misleading folks at Nav-TV said they were working on this. (That was over a year ago... total vapor.)

Remember that Sirius and XM merged earlier this year, and hope to unify their services this fall from what I have heard. My advice is to wait a bit.

The benefit, at least initially, is more related to programming... if you have bad reception now, it won't get any better. You'll just have more/different programming with bad reception.

It's likely hybrid XM and Sirius receivers will be made, but that won't improve what you have today in your LR3.
