I ordered the full length ABS sensor (front driver side) to replace the one that got dinged and damaged by the back of a broken wheel stud. Instead of getting the full length one that needs to be hardwired into the computer, which was recommended by posts on this forum, they sent me the stock plug in replacement. My questions:

1.) Is the longer one necessary? I don''t use my truck for any seriuos off-roading so that is the only reason why I can see that the longer one would be necessary (for longer wheel travel)

2.) Should I just return this one, ball them out for shipping the wrong item, and WAIT for the replacement?

Thanks

Should just be plug and play... I didn't even know you could order one that went all the way to the computer.

Yeah, there is a TSB on the '03 and '04. The recommended replacement has the longer cord that goes strait to the SLABS ECU.
