Question: Installing a double din head unit

So after some more research and chatting with a guy in the UK ..Since I have the 'Hi Line' radio it can't be removed as it " serves as an integral part of the electrical system" Can anyone confirm this in the US? How different can my harness be from the Lo Line system? Any of you Guru guys or Rover techs upgrade your head unit from the stock 6 disc changer unit? as for the Antenna adapter im not sure .. I think it is a BMW adapter
