Radio glitch

In just the last few weeks, my radio (stock) has done a weird thing. Occasionally, it will turn itself off, just for a few seconds, and then it will come back on. I only notice this happening after being in the vehicle and driving for awhile. It does it usually once during a longer trip.
My concern is this, that it actually has nothing to do with the radio but something else. Let me know if youv'e had any experience in this. Thanks.

I have not had this happen, but I did once own a Grand Cherokee and lots of strange things happened in that, windows went up and down, doors locked and unlocked, radio volume went up and down. I later found that the vehicle had had some serious water damage.
