Rain Sensor

Hey, I'm new here and i have had an issue with my rain sensor on my 2011 LR4 HSE. for almost two years the auto rain sense wipers haven't functioned properly. When left in auto the wipers wipe every few seconds, depending on where the wiper sensitivity is set to. I checked the fuse, and it was fine, and there has never been a replacement windshield put on the car. My last guess is the sensor is bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The sensor is the same for the auto headlights. Do they work?

It definitely sounds like your rain sensor is failing. Since the fuse is fine and the windshield hasn’t been replaced, the sensor itself is the most likely culprit. Before replacing it, try cleaning the sensor on the inside of the windshield, as dirt or residue can cause erratic wiper behavior. If cleaning doesn’t help, the sensor likely needs replacement. Some LR4 rain sensors also require recalibration after installation, so keep that in mind. Checking the wiring for loose connections is also a good idea. Most likely, replacing the sensor will fix the auto wipers.
