I have a 2002 Range Rover that I inadvertently left the lights on and locked the car .The next morning the fob did not unlock the car and when I unlocked with the key the alarm went off.Ditto when I tried to start it.I tried locking unlocking door with key did not work and now the battery is dead.L.R.dealer (65 miles away ) said tow it in. Help! should I start with a new battery?
Thanks Bill G

New battery, then lock unlock the doors with the key holding the key in the unlock position, then pressing the key fob unlock button, then lock with key pressing the lock button.

IIRC you will also have to reset the windows and sunroof.... hold the window button down till it stops then keep holding down button for 10 seconds... then close the window the same way, repeat on all windows. and sunroof.
