I purchased two of the skid plates that Rasta sells (Engine and Gearbox/T-case) last week. I have not installed them yet, but I just want to give them an unsolicited plug. First of all the skid plates themselves look fantastic. They are thicker than I thought they'd be and the workmanship looks great. There is more machining and forming involved than I thought and I'm impressed. Also, the customer service was second-to-none.

For anyone looking to beef up their LR3's armor, I would recommend this line of products and suggest giving Dorel a call.

Nice! Most posts on forums are usually about complaints - I'll be the first to call a company out when they have terrible customer service, but I'm also the first to let someone know when they are doing a great job (in fact, I always embarass my wife when we are out to eat and have a particularly good waiter/waitress - I always have the manager come over and complement the employee - drives my wife nuts ). Thanks for the informative post!

Yeah, no problem.

I've never been so excited about big pieces of metal....I'm sure I'll have some peace of mind knowing they are under my LR3 when I'm offroad!

They also make a nice invincible sound when you scrape them over a knarly rock :)
