I noticed that my Discovery 2 (1999) was off level when I was about to get into it. I started it and it did not level itself. Listing to one side. It road rough feeling as though it was on the blocks and there were no springs.

I stopped it and tried to activate the off-road option but it only beeped and the indicator light blinked. I stopped the vehicle and turned off the engine. Started it again and pressed the button again. It did not beep and the light did not go on but the rear end rose to normal road height and leveled. I hope this makes sense. What happend? I want to avoid this in the future.....

If I were to take a guess. You have an airbag leaking, you may want to replace them both before you have to replace the pump as well.

Hey Joey and Disco Mike. Thanks for the helpful info and thanks for calling me Mike. Here is an update. My Disco II worked great all weekend in Palm Springs out in the desert. I returned in the evening to my mountain home at 6,000 ft. It was chilly (38 degrees) and while driving, it deflated and rode bumpy. At home I turned the vehicle off and started again and it did not rise. I removed and reattached the positive connection to the battery..no help. I left the car alone all night and started it this morning and it inflated! It was about 50 degrees this morning. It's now working fine.

When it deflates the left side is lower than the right by a lot. I plan to replace the "air bags" as per disco mike's suggestion. Anyone have a idea why its doing this intermittently? Thanks fort the support!

I took my Discovery II to a Rover machanic. The problem is a leaking air bag. He suggested I convert to coils and get away from the air suspension totally. What does everyone think of this suggestion?
